Mohanlal and Mammootty are reuniting for an action thriller, Patriot. The film is all set for an April release, and makers recently released a poster which immediately went viral. Keerthy Suresh has recently showered
praise on the poster, describing it as “intense”. She also expressed her excitement about witnessing powerhouses share screen space once again.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Keerthy Suresh shared a poster and wrote, “This looks so intense!! Can’t wait to see this powerhouse cast come together on screen.” Nayanthara reshared the poster and thanked. The poster was unveiled in five languages. While the Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi versions of the poster were unveiled by Vijay Deverakonda, Atlee, and Karan Johar respectively, the Malayalam poster of Patriot was shared by a number of prominent actors including Dulquer Salmaan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Unni Mukundan and others.

Mammootty Announces Patriot Release Date
Mammootty shared a new poster of Patriot on social media. It shows him holding a microchip, while the rest of the cast including Mohanlal, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil and others are seen with serious expressions. The poster features the release date of Patriot written in the centre – April 23, 2026. Sharing the poster, Mammootty wrote, “Unleashing the spirit of fearless voices, this Republic Day” #PATRIOT arrives worldwide on April 23, 2026. Meanwhile, earlier, several character posters featuring Mammootty, Mohanlal, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, and Rajeev Menon were unveiled. They all featured a powerful tagline that read, “Dissent is patriotic.”
Meanwhile, the action-packed teaser of Patriot was unveiled by the makers in October last year. The film is directed by Mahesh Narayanan, known for his work in Malayalam cinema. The ensemble cast of Patriot includes Mohanlal, Mammootty, Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara, Kunchacko Boban, Darshana Rajendran, and Revathy.
A few weeks ago, the makers announced that they have finished shooting for the film. “That’s a wrap. Blood, sweat, belief. #PATRIOT marches on. See you on the Big screen,” they wrote, while also sharing a BTS video from the sets featuring Mammootty, Mohanlal and others.
