Ward No. 16C is one of the four sub-wards of Ward No. 16 of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC). The NMMC has a total of 41 wards spread across Navi Mumbai, representing 165 corporators. This sub-ward is reserved for General Women. Ward No. 16, to which this sub-ward belongs, has a total population of 45091, of which 2217 belong to the Scheduled Castes and 359 belong to the Scheduled Tribes.
The extent of Ward 1 of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation as published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette is as follows: Location- Jugav (Part), VASHI Navi Mumbai – Sector-11 (Part), Sector-12 (Part), Sector-13, Juhu Village Sector 14 Sector-15, SAIKRPUPA ENTERPRISE REAL ESTATE ENTREPRENEUR – Sector-16, Sector-16A, Sector-28, Vashi – Sector-29. North – Vashi–Koparkhairane Main Drain. East – From the Vashi–Koparkhairane Drain, proceed southward along Palm Beach Road up to Arenja Corner Chowk on the Vashi–Turbhe Road. South – From Arenja Corner in Vashi Sector-17, proceed westward along the Vashi–Turbhe Road up to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk on the Vashi–Koparkhairane Main Road. West – From Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk on the Vashi–Koparkhairane Main Road, proceed northward along the same road toward Sector-11, Juhu Gaon. Continue along the footpath past and Hotel Kantara toward Juhu Gaon Lake. Follow the footpath adjacent to , then curve around the lake via the adjoining walkway. Proceed past Kamalatai Patil’s residence via the internal footpath toward Khandooba Temple, then continue past Shri Bhoir and Pinky Beauty Parlour via the internal footpath up to Anand Bhavan building. From there, cross Marine Centre we westward up to the western Thane Creek boundary of NMMC.
The last Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) elections were held on April 22, 2015, in which Nationalist Congress Party was the single largest party with 52 seats, while Shiv Sena won 38 seats. Bharatiya Janata Party secured six seats and Indian National Congress won 10 seats. Five Independent candidates were also elected as corporators in the election. The next election is scheduled to take place on 15 January 2026, with the counting of votes on 16 January 2026.
