The recently released teaser of Alpha continues to win praise. Now, filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli also showered praises on the project. The RRR director shared the teaser and expressed his love for Alia Bhatt’s
powerful performance. The filmmaker shares a special professional bond with Alia Bhatt, having directed her in the blockbuster RRR.
Taking to his Instagram stories, SS Rajamouli wrote, “Alia is fantastic as always. Absolutely outstanding and so fierce in the action sequences! #AlphaTeaser looks promising. Good luck to the entire team.” Earlier, Dulquer Salmaan wrote, “Action Star Alia Bhatt! This looks so badass! Loving this avatar Alia! Can’t wait to see more!” Vicky Kaushal also praised the teaser and wrote, “Looks badass. Feels insane. Bobby Sir – love this version of you. The teaser opens on Alia Bhatt’s character’s 18th birthday as she sits with her “baba”, played by Bobby Deol, at a restaurant. What seems to be a warm celebration takes a dramatic turn when he asks her to perform a high-stake mission on the 34th floor of the hotel. Later, the teaser sheds light on Alpha, a highly classified program created to train India’s next generation of elite soldiers. Designed to push recruits to their limits, the program subjects them to grueling physical and mental challenges in preparation for dangerous missions.
Several action-packed moments stand out, including scenes of Alia riding a motorcycle, executing combat moves and taking down enemies in brutal close-quarter fights. Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in key roles. The film is touted as the first female-led installment in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes films like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3 and War 2.
Alpha has already gone through multiple release date changes during its journey to the big screen. The film was initially slated for a 2025 release before being pushed to April 2026. Yash Raj Films later officially announced July 10, 2026, as its theatrical release date. However, the makers have advanced the film’s release by a week and Alpha is now set to arrive in cinemas on July 3, 2026.
