Actor Karan Tacker of Khakee: The Bihar Chapter fame stole the spotlight at the ELLE List Awards 2026 in Mumbai. The 39-year-old has bagged the Mouldbreaker of the Year award for his performance in the show

Tacker looked very dapper in a formal ensemble consisting of a white blazer, black trousers and black boots. He played the lead character Gaurav Tiwari in the mentioned paranormal TV series.
Karan Tacker wins Mouldbreaker of the Year at ELLE List Awards 2026
The 2026 ELLE List Awards were held at the iconic Taj Lands End, Bandra, Mumbai. Karan Tacker looked happy to have received the Mouldbreaker of the Year award. “A very good evening to everyone. It’s so nice that people actually hung back. I see a lot of drinks on the table. So, good job for such a lovely evening,” Tacker said as he received the accolade.
He mentioned that he “almost failed” in the 10th standard. “Look at where we are, man,” he said. “Thank you so much. This is for the show Bhay I did. It expected me to step into a lot of fears, a lot of discomfort,” Tacker added, in a video on his Instagram story.
Among others, Tammanna Bhatia, Avneet Kaur, Roshni Walia and Shanaya Kapoor attended the event. The awards honoured individuals from various fields, including fashion, cinema, business and sports.

Directed by Robbie Grewal, Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery is a paranormal television series. While Arshad Syed wrote the show, Prabhleen Sandhu from Almighty Motion Picture produced it. The show also starred actress Kalki Koechlin.
The show follows the story of Gaurav Tiwari, who studied aviation in the US to become a pilot. After his return to India, Tiwari practised metaphysics and died a mysterious death at age 32.
Karan Tacker said he was blown away when he learned about Tiwari. “I was like, wow. This is a banging story,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. Despite being “petrified” of the horror genre, Tacker said he could not reject the show.
Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery premiered on Amazon MX Player on December 12, 2025.
