Singapore’s Changi Airport has once again claimed the title of the World’s Best Airport, marking its 14th victory in the prestigious Skytrax World Airport Awards 2026. The rankings highlight some of the most efficient, passenger-friendly, and architecturally impressive aviation hubs across the globe.

Indian Airports In The 2026 World’s Best List
India achieved a remarkable feat with five airports making it to the global Top 100. Delhi Airport ranked highest at No. 28, followed by Bengaluru (41), Hyderabad (43), Goa (64), and Mumbai (66). This strong performance highlights the rapid transformation and rising global standards of Indian aviation infrastructure.
Leading the Indian list is Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), which secured the 28th position globally, climbing four places from the previous year. It also retained its recognition as the Best Airport in India and South Asia.
For many travellers, Delhi Airport has increasingly become more than a transit point. Its large art installations, upgraded dining spaces, streamlined immigration systems, and expanding international connectivity have helped improve passenger experiences significantly.
Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru followed closely, ranking 41st worldwide while also winning the title of Best Regional Airport in India and South Asia for the third consecutive year.
The airport’s award-winning Terminal 2, often called the “Garden Terminal,” has become a major talking point among travellers because of its greenery-filled interiors, open spaces, and biophilic design that blends nature with airport architecture.
Alongside Delhi and Bengaluru, Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, and Goa’s Manohar International Airport also secured places among the world’s top 100 airports.
