Emmys 2026 Nominations:'The Pitt' and 'Hacks' lead

• Nominees for the 78th Emmy Awards were announced on Tuesday
• The main ceremony will be held on 14 September in Los Angeles
• Creative Arts Emmys are scheduled for 5 and 6 September

The nominees for the 78th Emmy Awards were announced on Tuesday at the Wolf Theatre in the Saban Media Center. The nominations were revealed by Emmy winners Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) and Jeff Hiller

(Somebody Somewhere), alongside Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego.

Speaking after the announcement, Abrego praised this year’s nominees, saying they reflect the incredible range of stories being told on television today, from comedies and fantasy dramas to thrillers and period shows.

The 78th Emmy Awards will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay and held on September 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The ceremony will air live on NBC and stream on Peacock. Meanwhile, the Creative Arts Emmy Awards are scheduled for September 5 and 6, celebrating achievements in categories including animation and visual effects.
