Bengaluru is steadily cementing its position as one of India’s biggest Vande Bharat hubs, with multiple semi-high-speed trains connecting its capital to neighbouring states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Telangana,
along with key cities within the state. Don’t believe us? A video is currently circulating online that lists all the Vande Bharat trains starting from Bengaluru.
Shared on Instagram, the user jotted down everything from train name, routes, distance covered, and time taken. Read below to know all about the trains running from Bengaluru to different parts in the city.
Vande Bharat Trains Running In Bengaluru
The first one is the Madurai Vande Bharat, which departs from Bengaluru Cantonment at 1:30 1:30 PM. The train passes through Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Tiruchirappalli and Dindigul before reaching Madurai at 8:40 PM. Covering a distance of about 580 km, the journey takes roughly eight hours, offering a much faster alternative to conventional rail services.
Next comes the Coimbatore Vande Bharat, which also starts from Bengaluru Cantonment at 2:20 PM. It runs through Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur, reaching Coimbatore by 8:40 PM. The train completes the 380 km stretch in around six hours and 20 minutes.

Vande Bharat Connecting Kerala And Hyderabad
Strengthening Bengaluru’s connectivity with Kerala is the Ernakulam Vande Bharat. Departing from KSR Bengaluru at 5:10 AM, it travels through Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad and Thrissur, before arriving in Ernakulam at 1:50 PM. The train covers 638 km in approximately eight hours and 40 minutes.
Moving on, we have the Dharwad Vande Bharat. Leaving KSR Bengaluru at 6 am, it moves through Yeshwanthpur, Tumakuru, Davanagere, Haveri, and Hubballi and arrives in Dharwad at 12:25 pm, completing a journey of 500 km in 6 hours and 25 minutes.
On a similar route, the Belagavi Vande Bharat departs from KSR Bengaluru at 2:20 PM. It travels through almost the same stations, passing Dharwad before reaching Belagavi at 10:40 pm, covering 610 km in about eight hours and 20 minutes.
Next, we have the Kalaburagi Vande Bharat. It departs from SMVT Bengaluru at 5:15 am, passes Yalanga, Anantapur, Guntakal, Mantralayam, Raichur, Yadagiri and reaches Kalaburagi at 1:45 pm, covering 550 kilometers in around 8 hours and 30 minutes.
Finally, the Kacheguda Vande Bharat serves Hyderabad. Leaving Yeshwanthpur Bengaluru at 2.45 PM, it moves through Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam, Dharmavaram, Anantapur and travels via Kurnool, Mahbubnagar and arrives at Kacheguda at 11:15 pm, finishing 610 km in 8 hours 30 minutes.
