Pratapgarh (UP), Nov 2 (PTI) A court here has sentenced three persons to life imprisonment for murdering a man here in 2015.
Additional District and Sessions Judge, Pratapgarh, Ramlal, on Saturday also
imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 each on the convicts Manish Kumar Verma, Nanhe Lal Verma and Sunil Verma, Additional District Government Counsel Ajay Kumar Pandey said.
The complainant Laxmikant said he was going to his tubewell with Chhotelal Verma and Karim on December 17, 2015 when someone fired a shot.
The bullet fatally hit Karim. When people raised an alarm, Manish Kumar Verma, Nanhe Lal Verma, Sunil Kumar Verma and a juvenile fired in the air and threatened to kill him.
On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case of murder against four accused, including the juvenile.
The juvenile’s case was sent to the Juvenile Justice Board for trial. PTI COR NAV DV DV
