Suriya is currently busy with his 46th film, tentatively titled Suriya 46. Amid this, fresh details about the project have now piqued audience curiosity. Produced by Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara
Entertainments and directed by Venky Atluri, the untitled film is currently in its final leg of shooting and is expected to wrap up in the next few days.
123 Telugu has quoted Naga Vamsi saying, “The shoot will be completed in a couple of days. Suriya’s role will be on the lines of Sanjay Ramasamy in Ghajini. The movie will explore the relationship between a 45-year-old guy and a 20-year-old girl. The movie shows the rapport between them, the fun moments they share, and also their love. It raises a question of whether two people with such a huge age gap can fall in love.”

In June, the makers made an announcement along with the poster. Taking to their X handle, Sithata Entertainments shared the poster and wrote, “The first step towards celebration, emotion and entertainment #Suriya46 shoot begins!” The poster features Suriya in a stylish semi-formal get-up, as the text on the poster read, “and the Celebration begins”. Venky Atluri, known for storytelling with emotional heft in Telugu hits like Vaathi and Lucky Baskhar, will also team up with composer G.V. Prakash Kumar. The film also stars Mamitha Baiju of ‘Premalu’ fame alongside Suriya.

India Today reported that Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon will be seen in prominent roles alongside Suriya and Mamitha Baiju. Venky Atluri’s ‘Lucky Bhaskar’ was a superhit at the box office upon its release in October 2024, grossing over Rs 110 crore at the worldwide box office. The film featured Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary in lead roles.
