Prabhas was last seen in the horror-comedy The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, which released earlier this month and received mixed reviews. According to the latest reports, the actor is set to resume
shooting for his upcoming period action drama Fauzi after returning from a short vacation in Italy later this week.
As per Telugu Chitraalu, Prabhas is currently holidaying in Italy and is expected to return over the weekend. He is likely to get back to work on Fauzi soon after. A major portion of the film has already been completed, with several scenes shot on a massive set specially constructed for the project.
Despite having multiple big films in the pipeline, Prabhas is reportedly focused on wrapping up Fauzi at the moment. Once filming for the period drama is completed, the actor is expected to begin the initial schedule of Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2. He will then return to continue shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit.
When Will Fauzi release?
According to the report, the period actioner is scheduled to be released around Dussehra or November 2026. Initially, the makers planned to release the film on Independence Day this year, but the final release date will now be determined by the completion of the project.
Fauzi is an upcoming period epic featuring Prabhas as the hero. The actor plays an Azad Hind Force soldier in the film, which tells a fictionalised version of real events. Imanvi will play the female protagonist in the film, which also stars experienced actors Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada and Anupam Kher.
Prabhas’ Work Front
Prabhas last appeared in a lead role in The Raja Saab. Maruthi directs the horror-comedy film, which revolves around Raja and his rivalry with his late grandfather, an evil spirit who haunts a mansion. Aside from the actor, the film included Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and others in prominent parts. When the picture was released, critics and audiences both gave it a low rating.
Looking ahead, the Rebel Star will star in the cop action movie Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film, co-starring Triptii Dimri, is set to be released on March, 2027.
