Author and former actor Twinkle Khanna has set the literary world abuzz once again with a mysterious post hinting at her upcoming book. Taking to social media, she shared a photo of herself along with a teasing
caption that read, “While I keep experimenting with new formats, one thing never changes — I keep writing. My next book arrives later this month. What do you think it’s about? I’ll give you one clue. It’s been ten years.”
The post has prompted speculation among fans, many wondering if the new release could be a sequel to her bestselling debut Mrs Funnybones: She’s Just Like You and a Lot Like Me, which was published in 2015. The sharp, humorous essay collection established Khanna’s distinct voice as a writer and quickly topped bestseller charts for its witty take on modern Indian life.

Following her debut’s success, Khanna released The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad in 2016 — a collection of short stories exploring resilience and social change. One of its stories, inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, the innovator behind Pad Man, earned wide acclaim for its sensitivity and social relevance.
In 2018, she ventured into long-form fiction with Pyjamas Are Forgiving, a witty yet emotionally layered novel set in an Ayurvedic spa, focusing on love, self-discovery, and second chances. Most recently, her 2023 collection Welcome to Paradise showcased a more reflective side of her writing, delving into themes of loss, love, and redemption.
Outside her writing pursuits, Khanna has been in the spotlight for Two Much, her talk show with Kajol, which has featured candid conversations with celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, and Vicky Kaushal.
