Hyderabad, May 28 (PTI) City-based Kiora Care, a kidney health company, on Thursday launched Ren-IQ, a precision diagnostic test, claiming it is designed to detect kidney disease years earlier than standard
tests and more accurately.
Following its Hyderabad launch, Kiora will expand to Mumbai next, followed by other cities, a release said.
“Ren-IQ includes Cystatin C as the anchor biomarker. It is a protein produced at a constant rate by virtually every cell in the body. Unlike creatinine, Cystatin C levels are not influenced by body composition, making it a reliable and equitable marker of kidney function for South Asian populations,” the release said.
The company said it aims to identify high-risk individuals early and support them through structured, technology-enabled care pathways that span prevention, monitoring, and disease management.
“One of the biggest challenges in nephrology is that kidney disease progresses silently, often without symptoms until significant damage has already occurred,” said Dr K S Nayak, Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer, Kiora.
With RenIQ as the entry point, Kiora is building a long-term, data-driven model for kidney health, said Anupam Dey, Co-Founder, Kiora. PTI VVK GDK VVK KH
