Amid rumours that Vicky Kaushal will be seen in the sequel of Ranveer Singh’s hit movie, Dhurandhar, it has now been revealed that it is not the case. An insider close to the makers has now revealed that Kaushal’s
Uri: The Surgical Strike character will not be a part of Dhurandhar 2. The source also called the speculations “outrageous” and urged everyone not to believe in it.
“Vicky Kaushal and Uri are no part of Dhurandhar. I don’t know where that comes from. We understand the curiosity and excitement for the second part. One can treat these as fan generated rumours and speculation. But we can’t have the media reporting such outrageous assumptions as news,” the insider told Bollywood Hungama.
This comes hours after a report by Mid-Day claimed that Vicky Kaushal, who is also shooting for Love and War currently, will be playing an extended cameo in Dhurandhar 2. It was said that the actor had already shot his sequence.
Released in December 2025, Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar was a massive commercial and critical success, breaking several records and becoming the biggest movie of 2025. The movie has collected a worldwide gross of Rs 1283.5 crore until Day 45, according to Sacnilk, and Rs 989.9 crore in India, while the overseas collection stands at Rs 293.6 crore.
