Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended birthday greetings to Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, as the latter turned 56.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister wished the Congress
leader good health and a long life. “Best wishes to the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi Ji, on his birthday. Praying for his good health and long life,” PM Modi posted.

Rahul Gandhi was born on June 19, 1970, at Delhi’s Holy Family Hospital, the eldest child of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Congress Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also extended birthday greetings to Rahul Gandhi, praising his commitment to constitutional values and his advocacy for marginalised sections of society.
In a post on X, Kharge said Rahul Gandhi’s “unbridled dedication to the ideals of the Constitution and your uncompromising fight for the unheard voices have inspired millions.”
He said the Congress party’s traditions of inclusiveness, social justice, harmony and compassion are reflected in Rahul Gandhi’s public life and leadership.
“Through your tireless engagement with people and your courage in speaking truth to power, you have consistently championed the cause of the most vulnerable and marginalised,” Kharge wrote.
The Congress chief also wished Rahul Gandhi good health and a long life.
“May you be blessed with good health, happiness, strength and a long life in service of the nation,” he said.
