As the Iran war continues to escalate, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday raised the possible use of its sea-drones in the Strait of Hormuz.
CNN quoted Zelenskyy saying in an audio message
that there is a “possible use of Ukrainian sea-drones in the Strait of Hormuz” as part of “more deals to be signed” with allies in the West Asia.
“We raised this issue because it is a pressing and sensitive matter for the entire world, given the current energy crisis,” he said. “They know they can count on our expertise in this area.”

He further said that the Arab leaders “understand that our armed forces have been very successful in unblocking the Black Sea Corridor”.
“As for other areas, such as the Strait of Hormuz, in my view, the United States is handling that. We are certainly ready to assist our partners,” he said.
Zelenskyy’s remarks came days after a landmark defense deal signed by Ukrainian and Saudi officials.
According to CNN, the Ukrainian military has deployed naval drones to strike Russian tankers in the Black Sea.

Recently, Zelenskyy had asserted that he has evidence of the fact that Russia is providing intelligence to Iran amid its war with the United States and Israel.
“There is growing evidence that the Russians continue to provide the Iranian regime with intelligence support. This is clearly a destructive activity, and it must be stopped, as it only leads to further destabilisation,” Zelenskyy said in a post on X.
“All decent states are interested in guaranteeing security and preventing a larger crisis. Markets are already reacting negatively, and this is significantly complicating the fuel situation in many countries. By helping the Iranian regime stay afloat and strike more accurately, Russia is effectively prolonging the war. There must be a response,” he added.
