Salman Khan is all set to unite with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. for a superhero film, and reports had earlier suggested that the director duo were planning to cast Kareena Kapoor Khan as the female
lead, with talks already underway. However, a new update now claims that this news isn’t true. A fresh report suggests that no discussions have happened as of now.
As per Bollywood Hungama, “Kareena has not even met Raj and DK or Salman Khan. The script is still being written, and the makers will proceed to casting only towards the end of June. Right now, the only actor locked for the film is Salman Khan, and there has been no conversation around the female lead.”
The source further added, “A call will be taken in June. It’s a good suggestion out of someone’s imagination to cast Kareena in the film, but unfortunately, there is no truth to the report.”
Kareena Kapoor has worked with the three Khans in films across different genres. With Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena starred in Asoka (2001) and later in Ra.One (2011). The actress collaborated with Aamir Khan in the 2009 superhit film 3 Idiots and later in Laal Singh Chaddha. Her pairing with Salman Khan has been more frequent. In Bodyguard (2011), she played the strong-willed Divya, and their on-screen bond contributed to the film’s massive commercial success. They also co-starred in Kyon Ki (2005) and Main Aurr Mrs Khanna (2009), showcasing a mix of romance and drama.
What We Know About The Project So Far
Produced by Atul Agnihotri and Mythri Movie Makers, the film will feature Salman as an aging superhero who is drawn back into action by unforeseen circumstances, eventually finding himself entangled in a much larger conflict. This will also mark Raj and DK’s return to theatrical films following their 2017 release A Gentleman, after a successful run in the streaming world with The Family Man, Farzi, Citadel: Honey Bunny, and Guns And Gulaabs.
Salman Khan is expected to begin shooting the film around October-November 2026, after completing his work on Vamshi Paidipally’s film. The movie is scheduled for release during Eid 2027. Meanwhile, Salman also awaits the release of his much-anticipated film Maatrubhumi, co-starring Chitrangada Singh.
