Jantar Mantar Protests: Union Minister JP Nadda on Monday held talks with a delegation of satirical group, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and appealed to protesters to end their sit-in and help restore normalcy
in the national capital, following discussions over the group’s demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak controversy.

The Union Minister in a post on X said that he held discussions with the protesters after the proposal came from them earlier today and discussions had been underway since 11.50 am.
“This morning, for the first time, a proposal came from the protesters to hold talks with the government, and our discussions have been ongoing since 11:50 AM. The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere. An initial verbal discussion was held in detail with their delegation, and they submitted a written petition to me around 4 PM. I have requested all the protesters to end their sit-in and assist the administration in restoring normalcy,” he said in a post on X.

Additionally, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said he and Ashutosh Ranka met Nadda at his residence and reiterated the group’s key demand for the immediate resignation or removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
“Ashutosh Ranka and I have been at J.P. Nadda’s residence since 12 noon. The demands have been conveyed, including immediate resignation/sacking of Dharmendra Pradhan. The Minister assured us he will discuss this at the appropriate level,” Das said in a post on X.
While speaking to reporters after the meeting, Ashutosh Ranka said the delegation reached Nadda’s residence around noon and placed three key demands before the Union Minister.
“The first demand was that Sonam Wangchuk should be released immediately and allowed to address people through a video message. Second, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, whom we consider an incompetent Education Minister, should either be removed immediately or his resignation should be accepted. Third, the families of students who died by suicide following the NEET paper leak should be given compensation of Rs 1 crore each,” Ranka said as quoted by news agency PTI.
CJP Protest
The talks came amid the CJP’s ‘Chalo Sansad’ march, which witnessed clashes between protesters and police as demonstrators attempted to move towards Parliament.
Earlier today, thousands of CJP supporters gathered at Jantar Mantar before marching towards Parliament, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination and broader reforms in the education system. The march proceeded despite Delhi Police denying permission for the demonstration and imposing security arrangements around the Parliament complex.
As protesters attempted to march towards Parliament, police deployed crowd-control measures to ensure the demonstration remained orderly. Security was tightened across central Delhi, traffic restrictions were imposed and several Metro stations were temporarily closed.
