Weather News Today Live Updates: Delhi has been grappling with hazardous air for several days. Although air quality showed a slight improvement on Monday, it continued to remain in the “very poor” category.
Data from the Sameer app indicated that the city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was 365 at 5.05 am.
Four monitoring stations recorded “severe” air quality, with AQI levels crossing 400. Aya Nagar was the only area to report “poor” air quality, registering an AQI of 299, while most other parts of the capital remained in the “very poor” range. On Sunday morning, the city recorded an overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of 377, placing it in the “very poor” category.
Meanwhile, fog has disrupted air and rail traffic in Delhi also as over 150 flights and 29 were delayed. On Sunday, more than 105 flights were cancelled and over 450 were delayed due to low visibility caused by dense fog at Delhi airport. At least 55 arriving flights and 52 departures were cancelled.
