A passenger at the airport described the situation while speaking to news agency ANI. “I’ve never seen anything like this; there is so much water. I’ve been standing here for about half an hour now. I am waiting for the water level to recede a bit so I can head towards the arrival gates.”
The waterlogging added to the problems caused by the heavy rainfall across Delhi-NCR. Several parts of the capital also faced waterlogged roads and traffic issues as the rain continued.
Nine Flights Were Diverted Due To Bad Weather
The rain also reportedly disrupted flights operating through Delhi Airport. According to reports, nine flights were diverted between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm. Four flights were sent to Jaipur, another four were diverted to Lucknow, while one flight was redirected to Ahmedabad.

The waterlogged airport quickly became a talking point among social media users. Several people criticised the authorities and questioned the state of the airport’s infrastructure.
