India will face South Africa, Zimbabwe and the West Indies in their three Super 8 matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. India’s first Super 8s match will be played on Sunday (February 22) against
South Africa at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, and for their second match against Zimbabwe, the Suryakumar Yadav-led side will travel to Chennai. The first-ever T20I match between India and Zimbabwe in India will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Thursday (February 26). India’s third Super 8s match is scheduled to take place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 1 against the West Indies.
Like India, Zimbabwe, the West Indies and South Africa are also unbeaten in the ongoing shortest-format mega-event, and they topped their respective groups.

India’s fourth Group A match was played against the Netherlands in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, and Surya’s men won that fixture as well comfortably by 17 runs.

2024 T20 World Cup losing finalists South Africa defeated Canada by 57 runs in their first Group D match of T20 World Cup 2026 on February 9 in Ahmedabad and then got the better of Afghanistan in the double Super Over at the same venue on February 11. South Africa played their third Group D match as well at Narendra Modi Stadium and chased down the target of 176 runs in 17.1 overs to secure a 7-wicket win over New Zealand on February 14.
In their fourth Group D match, Aiden Markram’s men defeated the United Arab Emirates by 6 wickets in Delhi on February 18.

Zimbabwe
Sikandar Raza-led Zimbabwe faced Oman in their first Group B match of T20 World Cup 2026 on February 9 in Colombo (SSC) and secured a dominating win by 8 wickets. They were up against Australia in their second match on February 13, and in the fixture played at R Premadasa Stadium, they stunned the 2021 champions by 23 runs. Zimbabwe posted a total of 169/2 in 20 overs and then bowled the Mitchell Marsh-led side for just 146 in 19.3 overs.
Zimbabwe’s third match against Ireland in Pallekele on February 17 was abandoned due to rain, and they round off their group stage campaign with a 6-wicket win over co-hosts Sri Lanka on Thursday (February 19).
