Did you know SRK and Sunny Deol didn’t speak for years after Darr?
Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan worked together in Yash Chopra’s 1993 film Darr, which catapulted the latter’s stardom overnight. However, Sunny felt his role was sidelined and he didn’t get his due. Back then, he even got into a heated exchange with Yash Chopra, questioning why his character, despite being shown as an expert commando, was defeated so easily.
Reportedly, Sunny Deol grew so furious during the argument that he accidentally tore his pants in anger. The dispute over his character’s treatment eventually created a rift between him and SRK, leading to a 16-year-long silence between the two after the film’s release. However, they have now buried old hatchets and let bygones be bygones. SRK and his family had even watched Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 and was a part of the success bash.
Aryan Khan’s viral ‘papa hain na’ speech
Speaking at the preview launch of The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, Aryan Khan said, “Bohot nervous hu kyunki pehli baar main aap sabke saamne stage par aaya hu. Aur isliye do din aur teen raaton se main ye speech baar baar lagataar practice kiye jaa raha hu. In fact, main itna nervous hu ki maine teleprompter pe bhi likha diya hai. Just in case yaha ki bijli chale jaaye, main kaagaz ke tukde pe bhi likhke laaya hu. Torch ke saath. Aur agar tab bhi mujhse mistake ho jaaye, to Papa hain na! (I’m very nervous because this is the first time I’m standing on stage in front of all of you. That’s why I’ve been practicing this speech over and over again for the last two days and three nights. In fact, I’m so nervous that I’ve even put it on the teleprompter—just in case the electricity goes out here, I’ve also brought it written on a piece of paper. With a torch. And if even after all that I still make a mistake… well, my dad’s here, right?).”
He then sincerely added, “Aur agar iss sab ke baad bhi mujhse galti ho jaaye, mujhe please maaf kardena. Ye mera first time hai. (And if after all this I still mess up, please forgive me. This is my first time).”
In his speech, he further added, “We’ve tried to bring a lot of entertainment to a lot of people in a lot of places. After four years of hard work, countless discussions, and thousands of takes, this show is finally ready. And I want to thank the people without whom making this show would have been impossible.”
