In a surprising turn of events, Ajay Devgn’s much-awaited comedy franchise film Dhamaal 4 has reportedly been postponed. If reports are to be believed, then the makers have taken this decision in order
to avoid a clash with two of the biggest upcoming films—Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 and Yash’s Toxic. Well, Dhamaal 4’s postponement has not been confirmed by the makers till now.
Bollywood Hungama has reported that Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 release has been postponed as they want to avoid clash. The report says, “In the weeks since, the holiday period has become more competitive, with Ranveer Singh and Jio Studios revealing their sequel Dhurandhar 2, for the same slot. In addition, Yash’s highly anticipated Toxic is also set to release during the Eid weekend. Given the growing box-office competition, Ajay Devgn has decided to make a considerate move.”
Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4
In September, Ajay Devgn announced wrap up of the film. Ajay captioned the post, “Aaj ki taaza khabar, brought to you by the gang, jo ab jald hi lootne aa rahe hain aapka dil…aur dimaag! #Dhamaal4 arrives in cinemas on Eid 2026.” Boasting a stellar star cast including Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra, Jaaved Jaaferi, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar, and Ravi Kishan, the film promises a laugh riot like never before. Earlier, the makers of the film announced the release date and captioned, “Get ready to laugh till it hurts! #Dhamaal4 storms theatres on Eid 2026, don’t miss the madness!”
The makers announced the shoot of Dhamaal 4 in March this year. Sharing two photos with the team of Dhamaal 4, Ajay wrote, “The madness is BACK! #Dhamaal4 kicks off with a bang — Malshej Ghat schedule wrapped, Mumbai schedule rolling! Let the laughter riot begin!”
Dhamaal 4 will once again be directed by Indra Kumar, who has helmed all the previous installments of the franchise. Produced by T-Series in collaboration with Devgn Films, the film will bring back the iconic ensemble of Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra, and Jaaved Jaaferi in lead roles.
Dhurandhar 2
Just hours into Dhurandhar’s theatrical debut, makers confirmed that the sequel, Dhurandhar 2, will hit cinemas on March 19, 2026 — a date that now sets up a high-voltage box-office clash between Ranveer Singh and Yash, whose action drama Toxic is slated for the same day. The first film, which opened on December 5, marks one of the most ambitious spy action thrillers India has attempted. Directed, written and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh in the lead, supported by Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna and R. Madhavan. At 214 minutes, the film stands among the longest Indian titles ever made.
The project has drawn attention for its intensity and scale, especially after the CBFC granted it an ‘A’ certificate. The certification quietly revealed the film’s central conflict, the IC-814 Kandahar hijacking, which works alongside references to the 2001 Parliament attack and RAW’s covert Operation Lyari.
Yash’s Toxic
Today, Yash shared a gripping new poster of his most anticipated film Toxic. Taking to his Instagram handle, Yash shared the poster and wrote, “The Fairy Tale unfolds in 100 days #Toxic”. The poster shows the actor as a muscular man sitting in a bathtub filled with a dark, ominous liquid, hinting at the film’s intense and gritty tone. With his back turned to the camera and dramatic lighting casting long shadows across the room. In March, Yash shared a poster along with the release date announcement. Yash’s Toxic is slated for release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, and Eid weekend. In the poster, the actor wore a black leather jacket and a hat, and carried a gun in his hand. Behind him, was a photo of a whole town burning down and the actor walking away from the site unaffacted.
