Have you ever experienced a food coma? Yes, that feeling of extreme sleepiness and lethargy after a heavy meal. Many Indian dishes are known to induce this kind of sleep, and one of them is the North Indian favourite
Chole Bhature. A digital creator from Finland, who experienced this first-hand, shared that one plate of the combination of spicy chickpeas with fried fluffy breads is enough to send one into a deep sleep, and the Internet seems to agree.
Taking to her Instagram account, she shared a reel, humorously claiming that she discovered “Indians might have just cracked the code to the deepest sleep known to humankind.” And the secret, she says, is Chole Bhature. “So the question is, what do they put in Chole Bhature to have this effect? I cannot tell you that. I honestly do not know. I am just here to tell you that it works,” she added.
The Creator Explained How Chole Bhature Nap Felt Like Waking Up After An Anaesthesia
The creator explained that after just one plate, the effect is so strong that it would almost feel like waking up after anaesthesia. “You are out,” she said, adding, “You’ll wake up with the fan humming, the sunlight hitting the curtains. You won’t be able to know if it’s from the sunrise or the sunset, and your stomach will still be full from the Chole Bhature,” she added.
Further, in her video, she also encouraged her viewers to try it out for themselves, especially if they have a long week ahead. “Grab yourself a plate of Chole Bhature, and you too can sleep like an Indian. Trust me on this one,” she said.
In the caption, she explained how being around people who can fall asleep anywhere inspired her to crack the code to sleeping well. She wrote, “Being surrounded by ppl who can fall asleep anywhere has changed me and l’ve made it my mission to crack the code to sleeping as good.”
The Internet Can’t Seem To Agree More With The Creator
The Internet agreed with her, with one user even asking if she is interested in getting an Aadhar card, saying, “So you want your Aadhar card mailed or hand delivered?”
“It literally works. My every Sunday’s 3-4 hrs are just Chole Bhature Sleep,” mentioned one individual.
A different person added, “Correction, the equation is incomplete without (a tall glass of Meethi Lassi + Choley Bhaturey) = Deeeeep Sleep.”
“Haha, I never heard anybody explaining chole bhature life and effect so better, perfect,” penned someone else.
A section also suggested other food coma-inducing combinations, with one writing, “Try having daal – Baati + buttermilk. You may wake up after 2 days.”
Since it was posted, the reel has garnered over 1 lakh views.
