Sonali Bendre and her son, Ranveer Behl, attended the special screening of the upcoming film Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos. Hosted by its makers and producer, Aamir Khan, on January 14, the event was
a star-studded affair attended by many celebrities, including Imran Khan, Sunil Grover, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, among others. The comedy film marks the directorial debut of actor-comedian Vir Das.
In a video posted on Instagram, Sonali Bendre and her son, Ranveer Behl, are seen elegantly posing for the paparazzi at the special screening of the film Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos. The actress looked effortlessly chic and graceful in a casual but stylish outfit. She picked a dark blue, collared shirt with short, slightly puffed sleeves and teamed it with light-wash, wide-leg denim jeans.
For accessories, the 51-year-old carried a black handbag and opted for no other jewellery. Minimal makeup and side-parted, messy, open tresses finished off her look. Ranveer, on the other hand, wore a casual ensemble featuring a denim jacket over a dark t-shirt. He paired it with light brown trousers.

After posing for the camera, the mother-son duo was also seen conversing about a topic best known to them, and the boy patiently listening to her won many hearts. “This young man should be so very lucky and fortunate (touch wood!) to have been blessed to have a graceful and elegant mother like Sonali Bendre,” read the video’s caption.
Reacting to it, a user said, “Like son, Like mom.” Another mentioned, “He doesn’t look like his mother.” A few social media users compared his looks to Sanjay Dutt, Raj Thackeray, Salman Khan, and Carry Minati.
Many others praised Bendre’s fitness even at 51, with one writing, “Mom,” followed by a fire emoji. One more person shared, “Mom doesn’t look like mom.” “Fitness maintain,” read a comment.

Sonali Bendre On Restarting Work After Ranveer Behl Went For Higher Studies
The second season of her show, The Happy Pawdcast, featuring the actress and her dog Icy Behl, was released on November 7 last year. The season focuses on providing credible, expert-backed information on pet care and features conversations with celebrity pet parents.
Talking about the same in an old conversation with Zoom, Sonali shared, “Once my son went to university, I said to myself, this is the time. I gathered a small team, experimented, and put it together. The response from the pet community was amazing. It’s a niche space, but it’s about reaching the right people, not everyone.”
Sonali Bendre’s Personal Life
The actress was diagnosed with a metastatic cancer in July 2018 and underwent treatment in a New York City hospital. Despite having stage 4 cancer, she gave a tough fight to the deadliest disease and became cancer-free in 2021.
Sonali is married to filmmaker Goldie Behl and blessed with a son, Ranveer Behl.
After pursuing his studies, Ranveer too walked in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, and has been busy establishing a career in the film industry behind the camera. The 20-year-old previously received credits in the camera and electrical departments for the series Rana Naidu (2023) and the project Delivery Day (2025). Currently, he is working as a trainee assistant director on the upcoming high-profile film Ramayana (2026).
