India won the 2026 edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on Sunday (March 8) by securing a 96-run win over New Zealand. In the final, which was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India posted
a total of 255/5 and then bowled the Black Caps out for just 159 runs in 19 overs. The win over Kiwis in the world’s biggest cricket team helped India become the first team to successfully defend their T20 World Cup title, and in addition to that, India also became the first host country to win the men’s shortest format mega-event.
Unlike the 2024 edition, in India’s record-extending third T20 World Cup title win in 2026, all 15 players managed to play at least one game and made a significant impact, whether it was with the bat, ball or fielding.
Here’s a look at how Indian players performed in the T20 World Cup 2026:
Sanju Samson – 321 runs
Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson played five matches for the Indian men’s cricket team in the T20 World Cup 2026 and scored a total of 321 runs.
