Entry and exit facilities at six Delhi Metro stations, including Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat and Patel Chowk, will remain closed until 4 pm on Monday, October 12, amid heightened security arrangements
in the national capital ahead of a protest march announced by the Congress and other INDIA bloc parties.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said the restrictions would remain in force from 6 am to 4 pm due to security reasons. However, interchange facilities will remain available at all six affected stations, allowing passengers to change metro lines.
The restrictions come amid the Congress’ call for a protest march towards the Supreme Court over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process and its demand for the removal of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar.
The Congress has accused the election machinery of “vote chori”.
