Pooja Hegde has been reportedly finalised as the female lead in Dulquer Salmaan’s highly anticipated project, DQ41. The film, directed by Ravi Nelakuditi, is said to be a contemporary love story layered
with rich drama, and will reportedly present Pooja in a refreshing, enchanting avatar.
For Pooja Hegde, DQ41 marks an exciting return to Telugu cinema after a considerable gap, and fans are eager to see her share screen space with Dulquer for the first time. Adding to the excitement, the film will be bankrolled by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner, marking the production house’s 10th milestone venture, SLV10. An official confirmation from the makers is awaited.
The makers recently kick-started the journey with a traditional pooja ceremony on August 4 in Hyderabad. The event was graced by Natural Star Nani, who sounded the clapboard, along with filmmakers Srikanth Odela and Buchi Babu Sana. Producers Gunnam Sandeep and Ramya Gunnam were also in attendance.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Pooja Hegde recently spoke about dealing with social media scrutiny. She was quoted as saying, “When it started, my mom was really upset by reading stuff. But I used to take it as a compliment, because I think that if somebody feels the need to pull you down, you’re above them. Also, I genuinely think that Karma is a thing, and whatever you put out there, good or bad, comes back.”
Further continuing the conversation, she spoke on the difference between social media followers and actual ticket buyers saying, “There are followers, and today its great to influence people on what you say and to reach out to them and in that way. But they are not translating to tickets. People who are paying money and watching are the real ones I need to worry about.”
Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde recently made headlines for her special appearance in the song Monica from Rajinikanth’s Coolie. On the Hindi film front, is gearing up for Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, opposite Varun Dhawan. Apart from this, she also has Jana Nayagan, which marks Thalapathy Vijay’s last film and Kanchana 4.
