Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday met Congress MP Sonia Gandhi after the INDIA bloc meeting yesterday, as the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is battling its biggest internal crisis
with high-profile resignations and rebellions in the Bengal Assembly and Parliament.
A day ago, leaders of the INDIA bloc huddled in the national capital after a series of election setbacks. The meeting began with a strong defence of Mamata Banerjee as opposition leaders rallied behind the Trinamool Congress supremo, whose party is now facing a major revolt in the Lok Sabha.
