In December 2025, Nick Jonas announced that he would release Sunday Best, his first full-length solo album in five years, on February 6. The 11-track record offers an intimate look into his life as a husband
to actress Priyanka Chopra and a father to their daughter, Malti. Marking his first solo project since becoming a parent, Nick revealed that his four-year-old daughter inspired the song Princesses.
During an album preview with his collaborator JP Saxe, the musician admitted that after fleeing the Palisades fires last year, he did not return home for several months and was surprised to discover that his Wi-Fi no longer recognised his device. The moment made him reflect on what “home” meant to him, and he realised it was his daughter. “If I just spent two hours trying to crack the code on what home is because of the Wi-Fi, what about looking in her eyes and seeing that’s my home, that’s my life, that’s my grounding,” he shared.

He added, “I use my imagination for a living. I tell stories and build worlds, but I’ve never wanted one more than this one with my little girl”. That realisation inspired the album’s melancholy ending ballad, “Princesses,” which comes out on February 6.

Last month, Nick shared the Sunday Best cover art on Instagram, which shows him looking at his reflection in a bathroom mirror as he gets dressed in khakis. Behind him, a piece of construction paper taped to the wall features three painted handprints, widely believed to represent the musician, his wife, and their child.
Sunday Best marks Nick’s fifth solo album and follows Spaceman, which peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 in 2021. Since then, he has released two albums with his brothers Joe and Kevin: The Album in 2023 and Greetings From Your Hometown in 2025, both of which reached No. 10 on the chart.
