Priyanka Chopra is making her return to the Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s upcoming epic, titled Varanasi. On November 15, she made a stylish entry at the grand GlobeTrotter event at Ramoji Film City
in Hyderabad, where the film’s title and a teaser were unveiled, as well as Mahesh Babu’s first look as Rudhra. Now, the actress has offered fans a glimpse of the spectacular event.
On November 17, Priyanka took to Instagram and posted a clip offering a behind-the-scenes look at the Varanasi event. It opened with the actress sitting to sharpen her Telugu-speaking skills while doing her skincare. She was seen preparing for her speech for the event with her team and even practising her lines with full energy.

Even while travelling to the location, Priyanka was seen with a small diary in her hand, jotting down what to say. Upon arriving at the location, she met with Varanasi’s director and the team managing the event. Together, they practised the lines and even rehearsed her entry. She was also seen having a lively chat with Mahesh Babu, who will star as the lead in the film.
Priyanka Chopra Says Speaking Telugu Is ‘Easier In Films Than Live’
As she was getting ready for the big event, Priyanka kept rehearsing her lines when she said, “So much easier to say Telugu in the movie than it is to do in front of a live audience.” The clip also showed her feeling nervous and excited before she stepped onto the stage. She was also seen sharing a lighthearted moment backstage with Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Priyanka, who will play Mandakini in the film, entered the event amid loud cheers from the audience. Once in, she greeted the Guntur Kaaram actor’s wife, Namrata Shirodkar and his daughter, Sitara, with warm hugs. In her speech, Priyanka said, “Hello Hyderabad! Tagalapetteddaamaa. I am so happy to be back. Making this movie in my beloved India.”
The entire Varanasi team was then seen watching the film’s teaser. Her video also included some brief moments of Shruti Haasan’s performance and Mahesh Babu’s entry. In the caption, Priyanka wrote, “The #Varanasi launch from my eyes. ”

What’s Next For Priyanka Chopra?
Priyanka continues to juggle international projects. She is gearing up for Citadel 2, backed by the Russo Brothers. She will also appear in Frank E. Flowers’ The Bluff alongside Karl Urban, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green and Temuera Morrison. The film’s release date has not yet been announced.
