Protecting a little dog from a dangerous Rottweiler resulted in multiple wounds for an individual, who detailed their painstaking experience in a post online. Taking to Reddit, this person noted down how
going out for a normal walk with their small dog ‘Woody’ ended in a nightmarish assault from a Rottweiler owned by a neighbour.
“My younger brother and I were sitting in our society after finishing a walk with my dog, Woody. There’s an elderly uncle in society who owns a Rottweiler. He was walking his dog when it suddenly noticed Woody and charged straight at us,” the person wrote.
Woody Saved, The Owner Left Wounded
Recognising the threat, the pet owner immediately lifted the little Woody in their hands in an effort to protect it. However, as the Rottweiler tried reaching out towards Woody, the intimidating dog bit the pet owner’s thigh and left around “six deep puncture wounds.” The Rottweiler only relented after the pet owner’s brother slammed a bottle on its head and forced it to run away.

Still aching from the wounds, the pet owner started walking towards the park’s exit gate when they suddenly noticed blood. “I have a phobia of needles and blood. I passed out and collapsed,” they wrote. To make matters worse, the collapse led to a different injury. “Because of the fall, I ended up twisting my muscles badly as well. Still shaken and trying to process what happened,” the pet owner further mentioned.
‘Always Carry A Stick For Such Incidents’
Upon reading about the horrific incident, the online community consoled the shaken and disturbed pet owner. Many also lambasted the elderly neighbour for failing to control the Rottweiler and suggested that the pet owner should carry some safety measures with them.
Sharing their personal ordeal, a pet owner replied, “Some dog owners are idiots! No leash discipline. I was almost attacked by a German Shepherd while walking with my husky pup, I had a poop picker, but the German Shepherd reached close. That uncle came to pick a fight with me and then I literally showed him the poop-picker! I swear if he uttered a word, I would’ve swung without hesitation.”
To which the wounded person wrote, “To be honest. It’s about his foolish son, 40 years old. Why would you send your 70+ father to take a dog out for a walk, especially a breed that’s known for its strength?”
“I’m sorry you had to go through this. Hope you get better. Get yourself some vaccines,” an individual commented.
Another fellow pet owner shared, “I understand your sentiment. I would’ve done the same. I have a dalmatian, though. But I always carry a stick with me for such incidents.”
The incident does highlight how even pet owners are not safe from the threat of uncontrolled dogs. The concerned person received multiple painful wounds in an effort to safeguard their pet when they had only gone out for a normal walk outside.
