On September 16, the creators shared news that the official trailer for Homebound would be released on 17 September. With the news came two new posters with the leading trio, increasing fans’ anticipation.
Sharing the news, the creators posted: “All roads lead to home. #Homebound – trailer out tomorrow! In cinemas 26th September.” The promo drive comes after weeks of hype, with fans anxiously waiting for a sneak peek after the movie’s festival success.

A Tale Based on Ambition and Adversity
Homebound is based on a 2020 New York Times article. The Hindi-language drama tells the story of two childhood friends in rural North India who hope to join the police. Their quest puts caste politics, social divides and the high price of ambition into sharp relief.
Throughout the story, the characters have to make tough personal decisions against the backdrop of intractable inequities. The movie poses strong questions about whether ambition and friendship can hold up against the demands of systemic adversity.
