Actor Allu Arjun has landed in a legal tussle with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) after civic authorities flagged alleged irregularities in the construction of his commercial property
in Jubilee Hills. The officials have served him a show-cause notice, warning that a portion of the structure may face demolition if the violations are not justified.
The controversy surrounds the Allu Business Park, a commercial building set up by Arjun and his family two years ago on Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills. The complex houses Geetha Arts, Allu Arts-related businesses, and offices of other companies. The sanctioned plan had permitted construction on a plot of about 1,226 square yards, allowing for two cellars along with a ground floor and four upper floors.
According to GHMC officials, the problem lies with a recent extension that was added on the fourth floor. Civic authorities maintain that this portion was built without prior permission. Following this, Deputy Commissioner Sammaiah of Circle-18 ordered an inquiry and directed that a notice be issued. “A show-cause notice has been issued regarding the illegal construction made without permission on the Allu Business Park building located at Road No 45, Jubilee Hills, asking why it should not be demolished,” officials confirmed, according to reports.
So far, Allu Arjun and his family have not issued any response to the notice or the allegations regarding the property.
On the work front, the actor continues to remain focused on his career. His most recent release, Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, turned into a massive blockbuster, earning Rs 1,800 crore worldwide. He is now working on his next project with director Atlee, a big-budget sci-fi film tentatively titled AA22 X A6. The film is being produced by Sun Pictures and will also star Deepika Padukone in the lead role.
