Eight Indian shooters, including two-time Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker, have booked their places for the prestigious ISSF World Cup Final, set to take place in Doha, Qatar, from December 4 to 9, 2025.
Manu Bhaker Leads India’s Squad
The World Cup Final is regarded as the ISSF’s season-ending showpiece, deciding the best shooters of the year across 12 individual Olympic events.
India will now be represented in five of those 12 categories, marking one of their strongest showings in recent years.
Manu Bhaker stands out as the only Indian to qualify in two separate events – the women’s 10m air pistol and the women’s 25m pistol.
Suruchi Singh Becomes World No. 1
One of the brightest stories of India’s shooting campaign has been teenager Suruchi Singh, who stormed into the global spotlight with three consecutive gold medals in Buenos Aires, Lima, and Munich in the women’s 10m air pistol.
Her consistent dominance has pushed her to the World No. 1 ranking in her event, and she will now lead India’s charge in Doha.
Other Notable Qualifiers
Olympian Esha Singh also sealed her spot in the women’s 10m air pistol thanks to her gold medal-winning run at the Ningbo World Cup in China.
In the men’s 10m air rifle, Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil, a former world champion, qualified with a gold in Buenos Aires, while Olympian Arjun Babuta followed up with a silver in Lima to secure his place.
Reigning Asian Champion and world record holder Sift Kaur Samra will feature in the women’s 50m rifle three positions (3P) after winning gold in Buenos Aires. Joining her is Olympian Vijayveer Sidhu, who booked his slot in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol by clinching gold at the same venue.
Completing India’s strong lineup is Simranpreet Kaur Brar, who entered the women’s 25m pistol thanks to her silver medal in Lima. She qualified because China’s Sun Yujie, the gold medalist in Buenos Aires, had already secured her berth.
Prize Money and Further Qualification Chances
The ISSF has confirmed that medal winners in Doha will receive prize money – 5,000 Euros for gold, 4,000 Euros for silver, and 2,000 Euros for bronze.
Indian shooters also have additional opportunities to qualify for the Finals through strong performances at the upcoming World Championship Shotgun in Athens and the World Championship Rifle/Pistol in Cairo scheduled for October and November.
