As Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues its impressive run at the box office, conversations around the film are no longer limited to its high-octane action or Ranveer Singh’s performance. One supporting
actor, in particular, has caught viewers’ attention—not just for his screen presence, but for the unconventional path that brought him there.
Who Is Mustafa Ahmed?
Mustafa Ahmed, who plays intelligence operative Rizwan in the Aditya Dhar directorial, is not your typical Bollywood actor. Before stepping in front of the camera, he was widely known in the industry as a leading strength and conditioning coach, working behind the scenes with some of the biggest names in Hindi cinema.
From Fitness Coach To Actor
In Dhurandhar 2, Mustafa shares screen space with Ranveer Singh, who plays undercover spy Hamza Ali Mazari. While Ranveer’s performance has been widely appreciated, Mustafa’s portrayal of Rizwan—a trusted ally in Hamza’s mission—has also garnered attention for its grounded intensity.
His journey into acting is closely tied to his longstanding association with actors. Mustafa has trained Ranveer Singh for physically demanding roles, including helping him achieve the transformation required for Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat. He has also worked with Vicky Kaushal during Sardar Udham and Yami Gautam for Article 370, overseeing their physical preparation.
Additionally, Mustafa has collaborated with Hrithik Roshan, assisting with physiotherapy and recovery during injury phases.
Entry Into Films
According to reports, Mustafa’s transition to acting came through his professional relationship with filmmaker Aditya Dhar. He made his acting debut with Dhoom Dhaam, which also featured Yami Gautam, before appearing in the first Dhurandhar film.
In the sequel, however, his role has expanded significantly, giving him more screen time and allowing audiences to see him in a more prominent light.
Dhurandhar 2’s Box Office Momentum
Headlined by Ranveer Singh as undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, alias Hamza Ali Mazari, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge follows his rise within the criminal underworld. The film also features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi and Arjun Rampal.
With its gripping narrative and intense action sequences, the film has struck a chord with audiences. Within just three days of release, it has crossed ₹300 crore in India and is now on track to surpass the lifetime collection of its predecessor.
