Bobby Deol is proud that Ahaan Panday’s Saiyaara received an overwhelming response from the audience. In a recent interview, the Animal actor discussed the success of Mohit Suri’s directorial and shared
that it felt very personal to him.
Recalling his memories of Ahaan Panday from the latter’s childhood, Deol told Faridoon Shahryar, “I loved Saiyaara. I was so happy because Ahaan grew up right in front of me. I remember the days when he was little, wearing a Spider-Man outfit, always hitting a punching bag… He’s been energetic since childhood.”
Bobby Deol expressed that Ahaan Panday’s debut felt to him as though it was his own child’s debut. “Ahaan waited for eight years almost for Saiyaara to be released. Even how this film came to him is an amazing story. I was really happy. It felt like my own child’s film had been released, and it became such a big hit. It felt so nice,” he added.
Deol even shared that he got emotional while watching the movie and stated, “I cried so much while watching that film; it’s such an emotional story. Mohit Suri (director) has done such a great job. Saiyaara is a director’s film, but he got great actors to play the characters. Both Ahaan and Aneet were so interesting to watch. The way Mohit weaved the screenplay, built the story, the music… everything aligned perfectly, and such things happen very rarely.”
Bollywood Actors Praise Saiyaara
Bobby Deol is not the first person to heap praises on Saiyaara. From Alia Bhatt to Vijay Varma and Karan Johar, several celebrities have expressed their love for the film, which stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in the lead.
Alia Bhatt described Ahaan and Aneet as “two magical stars” and praised their individuality and honesty in their performances. She also appreciated director Mohit Suri’s storytelling and musical choices.
Ranveer Singh also termed Saiyaara “heartfelt” and praised Mohit Suri’s direction, saying it was the “very best” of him.
Anil Kapoor also shared a still from the movie on his Instagram story and captioned it “What a film”, indicating his admiration for the movie.
