A casual conversation between a man and an Ola driver took a shocking turn when the latter shared his nighttime experiences on the job. The video of the conversation has now surfaced online where it has sparked
strong reactions from the viewers.
The exchange, recorded inside the cab, touches on earnings, work hours and situations the driver claims he often faces while driving at night in big cities.
A Routine Chat Inside the Cab
The video opens with a man sitting in the cab and starting a basic conversation with the driver. He asks, “Aap karte kya ho?”, meaning, what do you do for a living? The driver replies simply, “Sir, main Ola driver hoon (I am an Ola driver).”
The man then asks, “Ek Ola driver kitna paisa kama sakta hai? (How much does an Ola driver earn?)” The driver answers honestly, saying, “Mushkil se bhi hazaar-do hazaar toh le jaata hoon, sir (Hardly, Rs 2000-3000).” He explains that on most days, he manages to earn between Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000.
When asked about his schedule, “Kitne ghante kaam karte ho? (How many hours do you work in a day)”, the driver says, “Sir, aath-das ghante. Jo maine bataya, woh minimum hai (Nearly 8 to 10 hours and this is minimum).” He adds that these are long, tiring hours, and the earnings mentioned are the lowest he makes on a working day.
The Conversation Then Takes A Serious Turn
The man asks another question: “Is business mein sabse badi pareshaani kya hai? (What difficulty do you face the most in this profession?)” The driver pauses before replying and then shares an experience that shocks the listener.
He says, “Sabse badi pareshaani yeh hai ki raat ko kai baar ladkiyan mil jaati hain. Itni nashe mein hoti hain, sir, ki peeche baith ke kehti hain peg banao. Bataiye hum kaunsa peg bana ke pilayen, sir? (The biggest problem is that at night, you often come across girls. They’re so drunk, sir, that they sit behind you and ask you to make them a peg (a drink). Please tell us, sir, what kind of peg are we supposed to make and give them?)”
He continues, “Aur kuch aisi bhi hoti hain jo kehti hain paisa nahi hai, jo karna hai kar lo. Ab hum kya karein, sir? Haath jod ke chhod dete hain, jahan jaana hai jao (And some others say they don’t have money and that we should do whatever we want. So what should we do, sir? We fold our hands and let them go wherever they want to go).”
The Man Reacts In Disbelief
Clearly shocked, the man responds, “Kya baat kar rahe ho? (What are you saying?)” The driver insists he is telling the truth and replies, “Sahi baat kar raha hoon, sir. Main jhooth kyun bolunga? (Why would I lie?).”
When asked where this happens, “Kis city mein hota hai aisa? (In which city does this happen?)”, the driver answers, “Sir, yeh kahin bhi mil jaata hai. Delhi mein, Gurugram mein, kahin se bhi (They can be found anywhere like Delhi and Gurugram).”
An Ola driver narrates what he sees nightly—
drunk passengers asking him to arrange alcohol,
others saying they have no money and offering their bodies instead. If this were said by a man, it would be called predatory.
When said by women, it’s brushed off as “choice” or… pic.twitter.com/qQcHeO4Eup— ShoneeKapoor (@ShoneeKapoor) January 6, 2026
In just a day, the clip has accumulated more than fourty thousand views. The reactions were divided. A user commented, “So what? It’s her choice, okay.” Another wrote, “This country is of simp Hindu men.”
Someone else added, “This is sexual harassment of the poor cab driver. But, no law exists to punish female sexual harassers.”
Mumbai Cab Driver Confronts Woman Over Fare
A few days ago, a video surfaced online which showed a verbal spat between a cab driver and a woman passenger. It showed a disagreement over a payment of Rs 250. In the clip, the driver also alleged that she smoked inside the cab, stopped the vehicle midway to buy alcohol and made him wait for nearly half an hour.
