The video was shared by an Instagram account called StreetdogsofBombay. The clip has received over 3.7 lakh likes in four days.
Street Dog Tries To Grab Soft Toy From Store
The clip begins with the dog entering a store and trying to make off with a toy. While the staff tries to engage with the animal and make it give up the toy, the dog refuses. A few seconds later, a few people watching the scene decide to do something unexpected – they pay for the soft toy and allow the dog to run away with it. The final seconds of the clip show the street dog running around in happiness with its new toy.
As per a Dodo report, the clip is originally from Mexico. The incident took place at the Plaza Las Américas mall in Merida a few days before Christmas.
Social Media Users React To Street Dog’s Video
Many users praised the people who bought the toy. “Whoever bought him this, may your wallet never run out of money,” one user wrote. Others found the dog’s happiness adorable. “Look at him… So happy…. Like a small little kid,” a comment read.
“That’s so adorable. I don’t get why ppl don’t understand that dogs are basically forever toddlers. The toy made him so happy,” a user pointed out. Another account claimed it was the “best Christmas Gift” the dog could receive. “You never know how a little kindness can change a life. You can literally feel his happy soul,” a person noted. “Life is all about these little things,” an individual wrote.
Some advocated that the dog should be adopted. “Well done ppl! Adopt him just like the way you bought him a teddy!” a user wished.
What Happened To The Dog?
According to The Dodo, the video led a person named Allan to visit the mall. He found the dog and adopted him. The stray is now settling in at his home. Allan told the outlet that the dog is “a little mischievous” but “very affectionate.”
