Kareena Kapoor, who will soon be seen in Daayra, has opened up about how she and Saif Ali Khan give each other advice on their scripts. In a recent chat, Kareena was asked which of her family members give her the most
honest advice. She named Karisma Kapoor and Saif, adding that actors are sensitive people and remain careful when advising one another.
“I think Saif and I are different kinds of actors. Sometimes I say, ‘No, I don’t like this script’. He will say I am too hardcore. Then I tell him, ‘Go do it!’ I mean, we are two different kinds of actors. So, we try not to get into each other’s space because it is difficult,” Kareena told Brut India.
She added, “Coming from the same profession, you will have an opinion on certain things and the way you do them. But we have to tread carefully also because actors are pretty sensitive people.” She revealed her reaction when Saif expressed his opinion on Daayra’s poster. She said, “Saif was giving his take about the colour of the poster, and I said, ‘Listen, keep quiet! You message Meghna (Gulzar, director).”
Kareena Kapoor To Be Seen In Daayra Next
Kareena will next headline Daayra, an investigative drama directed by Meghna Gulzar. The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in a key role. The project takes Kareena into a different genre as she prepares for another theatrical outing. Daayra is scheduled to release in cinemas on September 18.
Daayra is an investigative crime thriller centred on two police officers who find themselves on opposite sides of a complicated moral and legal conflict. Kareena plays DCP Ajooni Kohli, while Prithviraj plays DCP Raman Kumar. Both are officers of the law, but their ideas of justice, responsibility, and how the system should function seem to put them on opposite sides.
