Raghav Chadha has dropped a video of his day as a Blinkit rider to understand the intricacies of the 10-minute delivery model and understand their working conditions to improve their lives. The Aam Aadmi
Party leader has been highlighting how the 10-minute model puts pressure on gig workers, forcing them to skip breaks, violate traffic rules and work hours.
The video shows Raghav Chadha talking to delivery workers in order to understand their plight. The AAP MP had earlier dropped a teaser on January 12 about his day as a delivery worker and promised that the full video would be out soon.
Away from boardrooms, at the grassroots. I lived their day.

Wearing a yellow delivery jacket, Raghav Chadha went around with a gig worker and saw firsthand how they handle their job daily. Several workers highlighted how they had to work extreme shifts to earn more. One worker claimed that he worked 18 hours without a break one day to make 54 deliveries.
“Delivery partners are often forced to overspeed, skip breaks, and work long hours with no social security, no accident cover, and no job stability. While platforms scale rapidly and achieve billion-dollar valuations, the workers behind the apps remain invisible and vulnerable,” the caption of the video read.
Raghav Chadha Highlights Plights Of Gig Workers In Video
The Rajya Sabha MP spoke to a gig worker who earned about Rs 22,000 per month, but could save less than Rs 10,000. He worked daily for 13-14 hours to earn incentives. The worker claimed that the rent for the vehicle alone takes Rs 9,000. He also claimed that quick commerce companies do not pay for vehicle repairs or for petrol charges to reach the warehouse.
The delivery worker also alleged that delivery companies cut money for insurance, but do not give any payout to workers in case of accidents.
Raghav Chadha was also seen sharing a meal with delivery workers at night. He listened to their concerns and demands. In the video, Raghav Chadha promised to fight for the rights of the gig workers and ensure they get better rights.
Raghav Chadha’s Advocacy For Gig Workers
The AAP MP has been vocal about better rights for gig workers for a long time. During the winter session of Parliament, he highlighted the “pain and misery” of India’s gig workforce, and the harsh conditions and intense pressure they work under. Chadha called for regulations on quick commerce companies and app-based delivery services.
After the draft Code on Social Security (Central) Rules, 2025, was released by the Centre in January 2026 to lay down norms for gig workers to access various social security safeguards and benefits, Chadha dropped a message lauding the proposed rules.
Calling the move a small but “important win”, Chadha wrote, “Congratulations to all Gig Workers and Delivery Partners. There is good news for you. Central Government’s draft Social Security Rules are the first step towards recognition, protection and dignity for your work. Even though the Platforms (Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit, etc.) chose not to listen to your voices, the people of this country and the government did.”

Raghav Chadha’s Celebration With Gig Workers
Earlier, Chadha celebrated with gig workers after quick commerce companies agreed to drop their 10-minute delivery promises. Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had reportedly persuaded major delivery aggregators to remove the mandatory 10-minute delivery deadline, after a series of sustained interventions, ANI reported.

Raghav Chadha On Swiggy And Zomato’s Strike
On the issue of the gig workers’ strike on December 31, Chadha had emphasised that he stood with gig workers. He called out delivery companies for their behaviour, adding that the “gig economy cannot become a guilt-free exploitation economy.”
“It’s time companies start treating riders as human beings, not disposable data points,” Chadha pointed out.
I sat down with delivery riders of Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit etc. This is not a rant. This is a conversation with those whose lives power our everyday comfort.

Raghav Chadha’s Lunch With Delivery Worker
Last month, a video of a rider earning only Rs 763 after completing 28 deliveries and working over 15 hours went viral. The video of the earnings was posted by the delivery rider on his Instagram handle. Chadha later invited the worker for lunch and spoke about the issues delivery riders faced.
Raghav Chadha’s latest video is yet another addition to his long-standing demand for better conditions for delivery workers.
