A tragic road accident in Rajasthan’s Udaipur district has drawn attention online after a video linked to the crash surfaced on social media. The incident took place early Saturday (January 17) on the old
Ahmedabad bypass near Nela Talab and involved two cars that collided at high speed.
The crash claimed the lives of four teenagers and left several others injured. The impact was so strong that both vehicles were badly damaged, trapping people inside. Rescue teams had to reportedly cut open the crushed cars to pull out the victims and rush the injured to the hospital.
How The Fatal Crash Unfolded
According to The Times of India, the police said the teenagers were travelling together when the accident occurred. Those who lost their lives were identified as Mohammad Ayan (17) from Murshid Nagar, Adil Qureshi (14) from Barkat Colony, Sher Mohammad (19) from Mallatalai and Gulam Khwaja (17) from Savina. Two others in the same car, Wasim (20) and Mohammad Kaif (19), suffered serious injuries and are receiving treatment.
Ajayraj Singh, the station house officer of Savina police station, said the group had come together to celebrate Ayan’s birthday on January 16. After attending a Mahfil-e-Milad near Nela Talab, they decided to go out for tea. While entering the main road from the bypass, their car collided with another vehicle already travelling on the route.
Occupants Of The Second Car Also Injured
The second car involved in the crash was carrying four people travelling from Rajgarh in Churu district to Vapi in Gujarat. Police identified them as Mahipal Jat (48), Rajbala (45), Rajesh (26) and Karmveer Singh (24). All four were injured in the collision and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Video Raises Serious Questions
After the accident, a video began circulating online, raising concerns about what happened just before the crash. The footage shows the teenagers’ car moving at a speed of nearly 120 kmph. Inside the vehicle, loud music can be heard playing while a video runs on a screen near the driver. The driver is also seen smoking while driving.
In the clip, one of the passengers appears worried and repeatedly asks the driver to slow down. The voice can be clearly heard saying, “bhai, dheere karde,” moments before the crash takes place.

Police Examine Role Of Speed And Distraction
Police confirmed that the video is now part of their investigation. They are checking whether speeding and distracted driving played a role in the fatal accident.
Shared on January 19, the clip has crossed 63,000 views so far. Many viewers reacted strongly. A user wrote, “You forgot the ‘high beams on’, zero lane discipline. Such people should not be on the roads!”
Another commented, “Look at the video carefully at a reduced speed. The driver yanked the steering thinking he was in a Grand Prix.”
“What made him yank to the right suddenly? Why would you kill yourself like that?” a person asked. Another added, “He turned the steering in that speed… What was he thinking…is your life some GTA games?”
