IT services major Infosys on Wednesday announced a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate the adoption of generative artificial intelligence (AI) across enterprises, with a focus
on improving internal operations and delivering industry-specific solutions for clients.
Under the partnership, Infosys will combine its AI-first suite, Infosys Topaz, with Amazon Q Developer, AWS’s generative AI-powered assistant, to transform software delivery and business processes across sectors such as manufacturing, telecom, financial services and consumer goods.
As part of the initiative, Infosys is deploying Infosys Topaz across key internal functions including software development, human resources, recruitment, sales and vendor management. In the software development lifecycle, the integration of Infosys Topaz with Amazon Q Developer will enable automated documentation and provide contextual support for code generation, debugging, testing and modernisation of legacy systems, helping improve efficiency, accuracy and project turnaround times.
The collaboration also extends to customer-facing solutions, with Infosys leveraging AWS generative AI services to build advanced digital experiences. These include enhanced end-user engagement platforms for sports and entertainment clients, powered by Infosys Topaz and Amazon Bedrock, to deliver real-time, personalised experiences for large global audiences.
Sandeep Dutta, president of AWS India & South Asia, said the partnership marks a significant step in enterprise-scale AI adoption. “Infosys is setting a new benchmark for enterprise transformation through the strategic adoption of generative AI at scale. The combined strengths of Amazon Q and Infosys Topaz will help organizations innovate, achieve operational agility, and unlock differentiated value for their clients,” he said.
