The Baleswar Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested two youths following an incident at Odisha’s Balasore Railway Station, where passengers were allegedly assaulted on suspicion of being Bangladeshis.
The incident took place on Thursday and a video went viral on social media.
According to reports, the two youths forcibly entered the railway station at night and attacked several passengers who had taken shelter there. The attackers allegedly shouted religious slogans and demanded Aadhaar cards from the passengers, accusing them of being Bangladeshis. Watch the video here.
The Baleswar GRP Balasore has registered a case (Case No. 165 dated 27/12/2025) under sections 126, 196, 115(2), and 351(2) of the BNS and arrested the two accused in connection with the incident.
Both accused have been produced before the court, and further investigation is underway.
