Mithila Palkar has steadily built a name for herself in the entertainment space, moving with ease from digital hits to bigger, more varied projects. Known for her relatable screen presence, the actress
is now earning praise for her performance in Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, where she stars alongside Vir Das. The film has also drawn attention for marking Imran Khan’s return to the big screen and for being backed by Aamir Khan, adding to the buzz around the project.
Reflecting on her journey, Mithila spoke about how each role has pushed her out of her comfort zone. She admitted that Happy Patel came with its own challenges, especially because the character demanded a more confrontational tone than what she was used to playing. Adjusting to that intensity took time, she said, as it was a sharp shift from the softer, easygoing roles audiences often associate her with.
Mithila Palkar Felt Guilty While Slapping Vir Das
One of the tougher moments on set, Mithila revealed, was having to slap her co-star Vir Das during a scene. The actress shared that it was particularly difficult for her to execute, as she is not comfortable with on-screen aggression. In an interview with Mid- Day, she said, “The cussing, laughing, or anger does not come naturally to me. But I just surrendered to the character and the directors, and then I just went with the flow. So the cussing was difficult, but what was more difficult was slapping Vir. I was feeling guilty, but he motivated me to just go for it.”
In the same interview, Mithila also spoke about working with Aamir Khan and said, “Aamir sir is very approachable and encouraging. I met him soon after I gave the audition, and I was told that I was on board, and he congratulated me for being a part of this project.”
Mithila Palkar On Her Next Project
After Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, Mithila Palkar will be seen in Priyadarshan’s Bollywood comeback film, Bhooth Bangla. The movie stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role alongside Paresh Rawal. Talking about her experience on set, Mithila said, “It was really lovely to see how Priyadarshan, Akshay, and Paresh sir work together. We’ve seen the films that Priyadarshan sir has made over the years, and I feel like all his films are a genre in themselves.”
