Besides Ranveer Singh, the film’s director Aditya Dhar, his actress-wife Yami Gautam, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Saumya Tandon, Krystle Dsouza and Ayesha Khan also attended the special screening of Dhurandhar 2. Akshaye Khanna skipped the celebration.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge picks up right where the first installment left off. It follows the events in Lyari after Rehman Dakait’s death and revolves around a high-stakes battle involving India’s national security, undercover operations and a powerful network of enemies in Pakistan. As Hamza, played by Ranveer Singh, dives deeper into the mission, he uncovers shocking truths and faces dangerous adversaries.
The film has delivered a historic opening at the box office, becoming the first Bollywood film to cross the ₹100 crore net mark in a single day.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller released worldwide on March 19, but its record-breaking journey began a day earlier. The makers held paid previews across select global markets on Wednesday evening, and the response was nothing short of phenomenal. The film collected a staggering ₹43 crore net domestically from these previews alone.
According to Sacnilk.com, early estimates reported that the film had already earned ₹103 crore from its day 1 shows, taking its combined total, including previews, to ₹146 crore net.
