Filmmaker Aditya Dhar, the man of the moment, created history with Dhurandhar (2025) and Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026). Both films shattered box office records, achieving new feats during their blockbuster
theatrical runs. Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, is still enjoying an unstoppable run at the box office. Amid enjoying the massive success, a new report suggests that the making of Dhurandhar will make its way to theatres, making it the first Indian film to unlock this milestone.
A source informed Hindustan Times that the craze for Dhurandhar is so immense that the makers have decided to turn even the film’s making into a spectacle. The source added that all the BTS footage and cast interviews will be collated into a full-length feature film, which is slated for a theatrical release in the last quarter of 2026, before eventually arriving on the same OTT platform where the films will be streaming.
Ever since the films have been released, the lead actors have not spoken to the media or given any interviews. A source further revealed, “All the major players in the film, including actors Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, and even the director Aditya Dhar, are not doing any media interactions yet because their first interviews will be a part of this BTS film that will directly arrive in theatres. It is a first for any Indian film, and the makers are ensuring that no BTS footage goes out on social media before the release of the film.”
It would be interesting to see what the making of Dhurandhar looks like, especially after the audience showered immense love and appreciation on both films.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 recently became the third-highest-grossing Indian film, beating Pushpa 2: The Rule. Now, the 33-day total stands at Rs 1,758.96 crore gross worldwide. It is just Rs 30 crore away from dethroning Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1,788 crore).
