US President Donald Trump on Saturday claimed that the United States has undergone a dramatic turnaround over the past year, crediting his leadership and accusing the previous administration of Joe Biden
and its allies in Congress of massive financial misconduct.
Speaking at a political event, the president said the country had gone from being “dead” to becoming “the hottest country anywhere in the world,” asserting that this change was driven by what he described as an “America First” agenda.

Trump alleged that the previous administration had “looted” the US Treasury, claiming trillions of dollars were misused, contributing to sharp increases in prices and economic strain on ordinary Americans.
The president also referred to what he described as a major fraud case in Minnesota, alleging that billions of dollars were stolen through government programs. He cited figures of up to $9 billion, claiming that investigations suggest the amount could rise further. He praised federal prosecutors involved in the case, calling the development proof of widespread corruption under prior leadership.
Trump suggested the alleged fraud involved Somali immigrants in Minnesota who, he claimed, “live on nothing in their country.”
Trump’s comments come as he continues to campaign and frame his political message around economic nationalism, government accountability, and sharp criticism of Democratic leadership. His speech reflected familiar themes from his rallies, including attacks on immigration, federal spending, and political opponents.
