Delhi Police has vowed action against Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke ahead of the group’s proposed tricolour assembly at Connaught Place tomorrow, October 16.
The Delhi Police told the
Delhi High Court on Thursday that it will take “appropriate steps” against Dipke, who has called for ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ protest on Friday at Central Delhi’s Connaught Place, according to LiveLaw.
The remark came as the court was hearing a plea by Anil Kumar Gupta, a licensed street vendor who sells readymade garments at Palika Bazar, claiming that the proposed protest would affect businesses in the area.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has called for ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ assembly at Connaught Place tomorrow, October 15, to protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise and demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar.
