light on his commitment to fitness and indomitable willpower, Kohli said Dharmendra followed a “remarkably disciplined” routine and had a great attitude towards life.
In an interview with ‘Health Shots’ on the superstar’s 90th birthday on December 8, Kohli reflected on his “zinda dil” spirit and will that kept him going. “Even in his 80s, Dharmendra ji followed a remarkably disciplined lifestyle. Willpower is the real engine of life, and Dharmendra ji embodied that like no one else,” said Kohli, who is also a rehabilitation expert specialising in orthopaedic manual therapy and aquatic therapy.

“He had a heroic inner strength; the same spirit we saw on screen was the spirit he carried in real life. Even on days when things were tough, he would smile and say, ‘Chalo, thoda karte hain… haar nahi maanni.’ His attitude was priceless.”
Even in the twilight of his lifespan and career, Dharmendra featured in multiple films and maintained an active presence on social media.
