Actor Ajith Kumar’s 2011 film Mankatha was re-released in theatres on Friday, and the craze among fans has made theatre management put up barricades to curb overenthusiastic fans who are celebrating the re-release of
the film. Amid this, shocking news has emerged, as a video of a Thalapathy Vijay fan being beaten up is doing the rounds on social media.
As per the clip going viral on social media, a fan of the actor was beaten up for waving a flag of the Tamil star’s political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), during the screening.

The video shows the man being mobbed, his shirt being torn off, and him being thrown out of the theatre as others cheer. The incident took place at Pandian Cinemas in Karaikudi. As soon as this video went viral, fans started reacting to it. One wrote, “Shame for Ajith fans.” “If you break things like this everywhere, no one will raise a flag like this,” another comment read. Mankatha revolves around Vinayak Mahadevan, a suspended cop who gets involved with a gang plotting a high-stakes heist centred on illegal betting money.
